Opalized Fossiliferous is a sedimentary rock containing opalescent shells and shell or ammonite fragments showing brilliant, mainly green to red reflections. This is an exceptionally fine piece captured in stainless steel wire weaving and wrapping bringing out the subtle greys in the stone. The woven medallion is 3" X 1 1/2" and hangs on a Byzantine woven chain of stainless steel and copper that is 28" in length that was made by my hand.

This exceptional necklaces main body was constructed from over 250 stainless steel rings held together by over 1500 copper rings. These rings have all been assembled by hand and connected together by my hand only. These are not mass produced pieces, you will only see this one.
The larger stone is a Leopard Jasper and the small teardrop on it is also Spaulded Jasper that we found in Crete.
